Description

Dusted with cinnamon sugar, this Low FODMAP Cinnamon French Toast is a delicious morning treat.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 eggs
  • ⅔ cup low FODMAP milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon, divided
  • 2 tsp. butter
  • 8 slices low FODMAP bread
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • Maple syrup, to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla, and ½ tsp. cinnamon.
  2. Heat butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, dip bread slices in egg mixture and place in skillet. Cook for 2 minutes per side or until golden brown.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together remaining ½ tsp. cinnamon with sugar. Place cinnamon sugar mixture on a plate and gently press cooked French toast slices into the mixture to lightly coat. Serve with maple syrup.

Notes

Low FODMAP milk: I use Milkadamia macadamia milk

Low FODMAP bread: I use Udi’s Gluten-Free White Sandwich Bread.
